Director and Therapist

I founded The Village in 2018 after years of working with women as a clinical social worker which allowed me first hand knowledge of the many barriers women face during this period. For over a decade I have been working with perinatal mental health as a psycotherapist. My areas of specialty include perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, with emphasis on pregnancy and infant loss. As a leader in this field I found that there weren't enough resources in Wichita to adequately meet the mental health needs of women. I created The Village to meet the needs of those women and families that have been unseen and underserved. Besides therapy I also conduct trainings for professionals on topics related to perinatal mental health.

Therapist

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Kansas and received my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University. I have previously worked in community mental health and substance abuse agencies as well as in private practice settings. I have a heart for clients that struggle particularly with postpartum depression and anxiety, birth trauma, and infant loss. 

    My experience includes working with individuals who struggle with high amounts of stress, relationship difficulties, postpartum depression, infant loss, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, trauma, anger management and parenting issues. 

    I am very excited to be part of the team at The Village and l am thrilled to be working with a client population that I am most passionate about.

I have always wanted to empower people to live their best lives comfortably. I believe that everyone holds value and want people to recognize that. I am passionate about women’s issues as well as body image and health. I am excited to grow this year at the Village to help fulfill  my goals.

Tiffany is an LMSW who is passionate about supporting women through all the challenges of pregnancy and motherhood.  Tiffany Rohr grew up in Kansas and married her high school sweetheart.  After five years struggling to conceive, Tiffany experienced two difficult pregnancies and births followed by severe postpartum depression.  She credits these challenges and recovery as the driving force behind her passion to bring awareness to mental health issues relating to childbearing and the societal stigma women face.  Tiffany received her MSW from Wichita State University in 2019 and has worked as a medical social worker for the past three years.  As a military family, the Rohrs enjoy traveling the world together and creating memories.  Tiffany has been fortunate enough to call Florida, Nebraska, Georgia, and Kansas home.  When she's not traveling, you'll find Tiffany bird-watching in her favorite hammock.  Tiffany looks forward to being part of your recovery story with The Village ICT.

I began working with The Village in August of 2019 as a practicum student through the Wichita State University MSW program. Being from Kansas City, the relatively close move to Wichita was difficult but I quickly fell in love with the mission for The Village and the work we have put into the community. I am someone who has deep rooted values in body neutrality, women's issues, health at every size, and independent value exploration. When I'm not at The Village, you can find me enjoying a cup of coffee with my cats, cooking a new recipe, spending quality time with family and friends, or flying with my boyfriend.  

Therapist & Infant Massage Educator

With over two decades of experience in crisis intervention and an immense love and determination for helping individuals, I am delighted to partner with those who desire to improve their quality of life. When it comes to therapy I have a wellness-informed holistic view.  I meet the individual where they are and when ready, take a deep-dive to discover root causes and barriers to lasting healing.  My experience includes the following; pregnant and parenting teens, unexpected pregnancies, post-abortion grief recovery, foster-care, adoption, and grief and loss due to significant life changes.

 

In my role as a Certified Educator of Infant Massage (CEIM), I have the benefit of facilitating Sensational Baby®, a 5-week course teaching primary caregivers about nurturing touch.  Infant massage is a global practice that I have used both personally and professionally since 2006.  I am an advocate for nurturing communication as it sets the groundwork to create healthy boundaries, bonding, attachment, respect, and trust in the first year as the baby is learning how the world works. 

 

I had the pleasure of earning my Bachelor's of Social Work from Humboldt State University of Arcata, California in 2004 and my Master's of Social Work from California State University of Long Beach, CA in 2009.  During graduate school my passion for improving communities motivated me to complete research on teen pregnancy and high school dropout that was published and given to Faith in Christ Ministries, a community center, to secure preventative program funding.

 

I am devoted to my family, excessive fun in the sun, and enriching creative endeavors including art and cooking with my husband and our three children.  I also take great pleasure in exploring different cultures through world music and cuisine which nourishes my soul.
