Depression & Anxiety during Pregnancy and Postpartum
Clinically significant depression and anxiety during and after pregnancy occur in up to 10% of women. Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders are the number one complication of pregnancy.
Approximately 9% of women experience postpartum post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) following childbirth.
Pregnancy and Infant Loss
Depression after pregnancy or infant loss is not only understandable, it is also treatable.
Mental health challenges including anxiety and depression can affect birth parents and adoptive parents.
When coping with infertility, feelings of sadness, loss and grief are common and expected. It is normal, and even healthy, to feel sad or even angry once in awhile. But sometimes pain and heartache are persistent and don’t go away with time.
Our therapists have specialized training in areas such as infertility, pregnancy loss, postpartum depression and anxiety, and birth trauma. We use a range of evidence based treatment models to ensure you are receiving the most individualized care.
