Depression & Anxiety during Pregnancy and Postpartum
Clinically significant depression and anxiety during and after pregnancy occur in up to 10% of women. Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders are the number one complication of pregnancy.
Birth Trauma
Approximately 9% of women experience postpartum post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) following childbirth.
Pregnancy and Infant Loss
Depression after pregnancy or infant loss is not only understandable, it is also treatable.
Adoption
Mental health challenges including anxiety and depression can affect birth parents and adoptive parents.
Infertility
When coping with infertility, feelings of sadness, loss and grief are common and expected. It is normal, and even healthy, to feel sad or even angry once in awhile. But sometimes pain and heartache are persistent and don’t go away with time.
